Welcome to the lab, Alicia

Alicia is an undergraduate computer science student at the University of Waterloo, doing a minor in cognitive science. In her spare time, Alicia enjoys biking and hiking.

She will be working on a project involving clean-up for Vector Symbolic Algebras (VSAs). Values encoded into vectors using fractional power encoding can accumulate errors; these errors reduce the accuracy of subsequent processing. Alicia will help develop algorithms that leverage a vector’s built-in redundancy to restore it to its uncorrupted state.

She is supported by a Math Undergraduate Research Award, as well as an Undergraduate Research Fellowship.
